Lost in the Aether is an unofficial Genshin Impact zine featuring Aether being shipped with many other characters in the franchise. The hope is to have a huge variety of ships featured, Aether deserves all the love he can get, doesn’t he?Got a ship you don’t see much content of? Now is your chance to show it off to people!We will be a digital and physical zine; we are looking for 20-25 page artists, 5-8 writers, and 3-5 merch artists for the SFW zine. NSFW numbers are similar, though we aren't looking for as many merch artists.

FAQ

Q: What is a zine?
A: Zines are similar to shortened magazines and are filled with art and writing. This zine will feature fan-made content of Genshin Impact characters.Q: Is this zine for-profit/for-charity/free?
A: For-Charity! Our charity of choice is currently undecided.Q: Can I make NSFW content for the zine?
A: Yes, we will have a NSFW side zine to the project.Q: What ships will be allowed?
A: Currently the only ships we are banning from the project is any featuring child-coded characters (ie. Diona, Klee, Qiqi, etc.) and Aether x Lumine, as agreed upon by the mods. We want to try and feature as many ships as we can though so we may limit the quantity on certain ones.Q: Do NPCs x Aether count?
A: Of course! There was never an intention of only allowing playable characters, considering that it is canon for some NPCs to hit on the Travelers!Q: Are Poly ships allowed?
A: Definitely! You can give him a whole harem of lovers in one piece if you feel comfortable with it!Q: How old do I have to be to contribute?
A: All contributors must be 18+ at the end of the application period. As our project does include NSFW content, everyone will need to be of legal age to view it, even if they aren't contributing to it.Q: Will you be using AmaZine for the project?
A: Absolutely not. Our current team is more than capable of handling the project ourselves. We are not and never will be working with anyone like AmaZine.

Contributor Expections

Page Artists
- Upon acceptance, page artists will have the option to create a single-page illustration, a spread, or a comic (2-4 pages).- Traditional pieces will be accepted, but will require a high quality scan.- Artists will have the option to team up with a writer and work on creating a few spot illustrations for a fic instead of their page illustration.- All submitted works must be original and created specifically for the purpose of this zine.Merch Artists
- Upon acceptance, merch artists will be expected to create 2-3 merch pieces assigned to them based on the preference they expressed during the application process. The mod team will provide the necessary templates.- All submitted works must be original and created specifically for the purpose of this zine.Writers
- Upon acceptance, writers will be expected to create one completed fic that is within the 1.5k - 3.5k word count.- All submitted works must be original and created specifically for the purpose of this zine.

Contributor Applications

- All applicants must be 18 years old or older by the time that results go out on March 14th.- Applicants may apply to multiple roles but you may only be accepted for one.- If you are submitting any kind of Google doc or folder, please make sure that we can view it. If we cannot view your application, you will not be considered for the project.

- Page artists will be asked to submit 3 samples of their best work along with a portfolio- At least one sample should be from Genshin Impact and/or include Aether.- At least one sample should feature a finished background.- If you are applying to create a comic, please try and share relevant samples.- If you are applying to the NSFW section, one sample must NSFW.- You can attach links from social media!- Traditional pieces will be accepted, but will require a high quality scan.Merch Artists
- Merch artists will be asked to submit 3 samples of their best work along with a portfolio.- At least one sample should be a merch item (This could be physical production or a mockup)- At least one sample should be from Genshin Impact and/or include Aether.- You can attach links from social media!- Traditional pieces will be accepted, but will require a high quality scan.Writers
- Writers will be asked to submit 2-3 samples of their best work. These pieces should be anywhere from 1k to 2.5k words long.
(We ask this to know if you can stay within a word count range for the project.)- At least one sample should be from Genshin Impact and/or include Aether.- At least one sample should be completed.- You can submit through Google Docs or Archive of Our Own.- If applying for the NSFW section, at least one sample must contain NSFW themes.
